Crystal Passi

Crystal Passi is a landscape designer, community organizer and plant enthusiast working on community design and place-making on the East Side of St. Paul, MN. She is interested in inspiring change through landscape interventions, public art, social engagement and through re-claiming unused or marginalized spaces.

As a Landscape Planner for Anoka County Parks and Recreation, she is working on redesign at the Wargo Nature Center and the Coon Rapids Dam Visitor Center. Since completing her Masters in Landscape Architecture at Auburn University in 2011, she has been working with a group of neighbors to create Pocket Parks in St. Paul.

Project Summary: Enhancing access and navigation aids from Payne Avenue into Swede Hollow for residents on the East Side of St. Paul by creating an interactive viewfinder that allows people to see into the park from above, learn about the park’s past and explore recreational activities.
