Andrew Novak
Andrew Novak is a community-focused leader with a degree in marketing from Miami University (Ohio) and over a decade of experience fostering engagement through sports, recreation, and group activities. In 2016, Andrew co-founded Summit Sports & Social as part of his passion for creating ripple effects of positive economic development by bringing people together through accessible, energizing experiences. He also has a strong background supporting early-stage technology startups, working across strategy, operations, and customer growth. Outside of work, he loves exploring the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the vibrant mix of nature and city that surrounds his hometown.
About the Project
The AK Run-Around is a downtown Akron scavenger hunt that invites residents to explore the city through interactive clues, local landmarks, and partnerships with small businesses. Teams will complete fun, self-guided challenges—like photo prompts and mini-games—at various stops, encouraging connection and discovery. Along the way, participants can expect prizes, plenty of laughter, and local learning. Designed as a pilot, this event aims to become an annual summer tradition that transforms downtown into a shared playground, strengthens community bonds, and helps people see Akron—and each other—with fresh eyes.
