Blair Butterfield
Blair Butterfield is the founder and director of Art of Cultural Evolution a Miami based environmental and arts non-profit. Her organization’s mission is to foster sustainability for all utilizing the transformational power of the arts. Art of Cultural Evolution has recently been awarded a land grant by Miami-Dade County Commissioners to build Miami’s first art and science sustainability center in the heart of the contemporary arts district.
Blair Butterfield is a native Floridian who has lived and studied internationally and holds a degree in Fine Art from the University of the Arts London’s Central Saint Martins. She now resides in Miami on her organic farm near the Everglades, in addition to being the director of Art of Cultural Evolution, she teaches gardening at Sunrise School of Miami a Waldorf inspired school and is a mother of two.
Project Summary: Building South Florida’s first environmental sustainability center to provide education, demonstrations and consumer options to help move the region towards resiliency.

The center will house a zero packaging bulk food store, a teaching event kitchen, a learning demonstration food garden, an art and science residency program, an exhibition space and a youth classroom.
