Connected Community Initiative
The Connected Community Initiative (CCI) aims to close the digital divide through a multi-lateral approach:
1. Public Spaces: Digital literacy workshops develop the local community. These public sessions connect higher-education institutions and corporate sponsors with the community.
2. Neighborhood Revitalization: The Wifé at the CCI will be a vibrant community open to all. This free public Wifi café will allow community members to connect.
3. Economic Opportunity: CCI serves the community through tech-centered mentorship for local small businesses. Entrepreneurs and local professors can also share best technology practices.
Utilizing these strategies will close the digital divide in the Philadelphia community.
