About the Project

Macon, Georgia’s rich cultural scene—with over 20 festivals and nightly live music—is a beacon of celebration, but for neurodivergent individuals, these vibrant environments can pose sensory challenges. The Still Point: Sensory Sanctuary for Neurodivergent Festivalgoers proposes creating inclusive festival experiences through dedicated quiet zones, sensory kits, clear visual signage, and online accessibility guides to ensure all attendees feel welcome and supported. By weaving neurodiversity education and thoughtful accommodations into our event planning, Macon can become a national model for sensory-friendly cultural engagement.
