About the Project
Bridging the Smile Gap aims to create a multilingual website that connects underserved communities in Philadelphia to affordable dental care. It will feature up-to-date information on low-cost clinics, services, and eligibility requirements. Developed through the Institute of Clinical Bioethics, the site will be promoted at free monthly healthcare clinics where pre-dental students assist dentists in providing care. Many patients we serve lack insurance and need complex procedures. By centralizing resources in an accessible format, this platform will empower patients to seek care beyond our clinics and reduce barriers to oral health for uninsured and undocumented individuals.
